Talaash (English: 'The Search') is an Indian drama series that aired in 1992 on Doordarshan. It is based on the novel Sonar Kathi Rupor Kathi by Ashutosh Mukherjee.

  2. It was a marathi soap on Doordarshan way back in late 80's.Story by Vasant Sabnis and directed by Rajdutt, this beautiful serial had the child actor Joy Ghanekar playing the role of GOTYA. Its fine music was composed by the evergreen Ashok Patki.
  3. First TV serial I remember. We use to wait for sundays to watch it. But only first few episodes are quality because the director realized that show is a hit and she started deviating from the book and the script to just stretch it as much as possible.

As the name suggests this is a story of search of old lost family friend of the lead character. Shankarlal Shrivastava Alok Nath is an author who is returning from a function by train. On the way back he is passing from a village 'Sarsavan', name of which strikes him prominently but he cannot remember the relation. Once he gets down the train and goes in that village he realizes the link. The last letter from Sudhir (Vijayendra Ghatge), Shankarlal's close family friend was sent from this village. Sudhir is the son of Shankarlal's mother's closest friend who consider themselves as sisters. The two families are very close to each other. On insistence of his mother Sudhir takes a job and leaves the family. Shankarlal takes care of Sudhir's mother in her last days. However, unfortunately after some days there is no contact from Sudhir and all ties are lost. The last and very faint tie is the place from where Sudhir had sent his last letter which is from village ‘Sarsavan’. It is then the story of Shankarlal's quest to find his long lost friend and to know the reason and consequences why he disappeared.

A strange new deadly creature has sneaked aboard the ship. The latest maneuver of Zakhakoo to take down Commander Tara and his city, the last hurdle to his plans of adding earth to his galactic kingdom and the universe. This time he sent a small Blob, strangely, much resembling a stinky wet Upla, a throbbing pack of cow-dung . The Blob is given to jumps onto its unsuspecting victims and sucks the life force out of them. Soon, this 'death-on-contact-with-skin' creature starts making victims out of helpless citizens of the Space City who have no clue about the nature of these new deaths. As the word slowly spreads,there is mayhem, in this mayhem the Blob zeros in on what could be its most prized victim - Shakti. As a doors open (automatically, woosh-pause-woosh), Shakti walks in only to be attacked slyly by the Blob. In the manner of its previous killings, this time too, Blob goes for the face, sticking to the face of Shakti who for a moment seems to be in the grips of death itself. There is a struggle, but by now it has already dawned of the viewers - Blob stands no chance, this was a brilliant stroke of luck (or genius of its makers). Stupid Blob had gone for the metal half of Shakti's face. Shakti will survive and kill the Blob. Space City Sigma was safe again, Zakhakoo had again been defeated.
